Each den will have pole item beside it.
This item is called a Marker Post. Dens with just the post are unclaimed. And are open for you, your family, or your pack to claim for there own.
Dens where the maker is multicolored sparkles.
Are claimed dens you may challenge the owners of the den for the right to take it over at any point.
You may only challenge for a den once every 5 days. This is to give a rest time for the wounded.
Say 3 of your pack members attack a den and they do not win this means your whole pack has to wait 5 days to attack again.
Fighting Rules:
Dodge Rule Fighting:
In Utopia we run on the 3 dodge rule that when you are not using Dice to fight. This rule states that for every 3 times you dodge a attack you must take the next hit no matter with it is.
Dice Fighting:
The Dice fighting style I like is the Attack + Defense style. This is where you roll two times per post first for a dodge and 2nd for a attack. It works like this.
Random Fighting Post attacking Alphaess's tail.
Random Puppy rolls 2D6 To see if she gets a hold on Alphaess's Tail: (2) (3) = 5.
Alphaess rolls 2D6 to see if her poor tail avoids the sharp puppies teeth: (4) (5) = 9.
Alphaess eeps and trys to move her tail away from the puppies sharp little teeth. As she seems to get her tail out of the way before the puppy can grab it she moves around and puts a paw on the puppies back trying to get the young ball of energy to be still and go to sleep.
Alphaess rolls 2D6 to see if she is able to put her paw on the puppy and get it to be still: (1) (2) = 3.
Random Puppy rolls 2D6 to try and avoid the paw that would hold her down she is not ready to go to bed yet.: (3) (4) = 7.
Random Puppy rolls quickly aside as she misses her attack and sees the older females paw starting to word her. Once she is clear and out of the way she sticks out her tongue and runs off.
As you can see if the Def post is higher then the attack post the attack is blocked.
However if the Attack Post is higher then the Def Post that the attack would hit.
This can be used with a 2nd roll for hit attacks with a ROLL 1D10 for a Hit point number or it can be used as just if a attack lands this is up to you.
I like this fighting style over the 3 dodge rule but how you fight is up to you.
Always remember to keep log files and if you need it you can always contact a staff to over see the fight if one is active.
